All their lives, this trio of friends listened to their people's leaders warn them about the dangers of the fey folk. It never seemed completely real, though, let alone a threat that could remake their lives. As the prince Devan closes in on his twenty-third birthday, though, that's about to change. The First are very real, not to mention people with opinions on the mortals who moved into the region, stole their territory, and declared war on them. 

On Devan's birthday, he will become the living embodiment of their saint. The mortal who put one over on the First several hundred years ago.
